There was a great turnout for the ride both Saturday and Sunday! Over 130 cyclists joined the mayor in the first leg of the ride on Sunday. The group stopped at several police stations along the way, and asked them for input on how it might be possible to make the streets of Oahu safer for everyone, especially cyclists. The message was clear: Hawaii needs more bike lanes! Hopefully we can start to see change sooner than later, beginning with Waialae.
Unfortunately, we were too busy riding to grab any pictures this time around, but you can see a couple over at the Honolulu Advertiser’s article on the event.
